Starting From Scratch

As Oodles is a startup company with a small team, Moomar have taken control of the branding in order to make a positive first impression – helping the team to develop a presence and start conversations with schools as they develop their beta product for feedback.

The task has been to create a contemporary identity that appeals to both the school and the students, whilst also standing out nicely in the education sector. Something fun, professional, enticing and exciting.

As Oodles is a startup company with a small team, Moomar have taken control of the branding in order to make a positive first impression – helping the team to develop a presence and start conversations with schools as they develop their beta product for feedback.

The first stage was choosing a brand name that felt contemporary and appropriate for the company – the result is the name ‘Oodles’, due to the oodles of activities and resultant data the software enables schools to view for each student.

With a brand name established, Moomar could begin creating a logo design, developing a brand colour palette, establishing brand fonts for both print & digital applications, and establishing a brand voice and writing style (copywriting). Once the branding was finalised, we designed a new website, marketing materials and promo video to showcase the software and help the Oodles team to begin approaching schools.

It is still early days for the software itself, but to receive engagement at this level has been a very exciting result, and testament to what a small, ambitious team can achieve.
