If you’re a designer you will probably already know about Flat Design and, if not, you may have heard the phrase banded around. Flat Design is a design trend based on simplicity. This age of simplicity has come predominantly from web design, due to the fact that designers are now working with so many different screen sizes, with the focus very much being on User Experience (UX) and effective User Interface (UI) design. Designing something that looks good on a range of screen sizes is no mean feat, which makes things great fun for the strategic designer. You’d be surprised how many designers and creative thinkers love solving a problem (and are often very good at strategic thinking)!
